Research Technician - ISCCF (maternity leave replacement)
to join the IMBA Stem Cell Core Facility (ISCCF). The goal of the facility is to provide expert service in cutting-edge stem cell technologies, train researchers, and implement standard workflows to support and facilitate stem cell research. We focus on iPSC derivation, genome editing and quality control of human and mouse stem cells. We are recruiting a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and technically competent scientist with a degree in biological sciences.
Your responsibilities:
- Carry-out to completion service project requests in gene-editing, cell maintenance & quality control
- Assist with Weekend feeding of stem cells (part of the 40h working schedule will be dedicated to the w/e feeding)
- Adapt and further develop existing protocols
Your profile:
- Minimum an M.Sc.in Biological Sciences
- Strong background in molecular biology techniques (preferably also in genome-editing)
- Advanced experience in sterile cell culture techniques (preferably also in primary/stem cells)
- Ability to work independently as well as flexibly within a dynamic team-setting
- Good organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in verbal and written English
Our offer:

Note that this position requires participation in weekend/public holiday rota. The minimum annual gross salary will be € 33.200,- or higher, - full-time (40 hrs/week), depending on qualification and experience. Please note that the position is limited to one year, as this is a maternity leave replacement.
